In Everything Give Thanks
Today is the 2nd part of a short series about gratitude. And what better time of year than Thanksgiving. As stated on the Discipleship Ministries Worship Planning page, the passage for Sunday from Philippians is the basis for this week's message. It states, "Here again, we find that gratitude and joy are woven together and that it is sometimes hard to tell one from the other. But it does reveal that our consideration of a life of gratitude should be exuberant, marked by the joy of being a disciple of Jesus Christ." Certainly a place/point for rejoicing in life.
Knowing the reality that we live in makes it hard to see and find places to rejoice. The messages we see and hear in our daily living make rejoicing seem ridiculous. But isn't that what our faith is all about.... turning what seems ridiculous into reality? Many of the foundational beliefs of being a believer are just that .... ridiculous.
So let's have a little fun this week and see what it means to live a ridiculous life. Our theme is a familiar one.. "IN EVERYTHING, GIVE THANKS" but we might take some unfamiliar turns!! Join us on Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. in person or on YouTube.
