The Art of Listening
One of the things we as humans must always be conscious of is our ability to listen. It is a skill that is mastered by some and ignored by others. Listening involves more than just what passes through our ears. It is also about what we feel, see, think and know. Listening is more than just allowing the other person to talk and then be ready to jump in with our own comments.
This Sunday is the first special designated Sundays by our denomination. We celebrate Human Relations Sunday around the same time as Dr. Martin Luther King's birthday as a reminder that must continually work at "THE ART OF LISTENING". We are further along as human beings than when we started, but so far away from where we should be! This weekend should be a chance for us to work on how we listen to one another.
On Sunday, we will take a look at how we can master this business of listening to and with one another. Join us at 10:00 a.m. in person. If you are not able to do so, please join us on YouTube.
