Last week our planned outdoor worship service got canceled due to the rain.  I am sure that you were just as disappointed as I was!!  I was looking forward to seeing some of you for the first time since March!!  I miss you very much!  But don't worry......we will be together as soon as it is safer.

This church is known for its hospitality.  We reach out to all who enter our doors.  Or at least that is what we tell everybody.  From time to time we have had people enter our building for some activity and then walk away feeling as though they had been ignored.  Not people we had bad feelings with but just someone who was not like the rest of us.

It could have been someone who didn't look like us or it could have been someone with whom we had a difference of opinion.  The list is endless with possibilities.  What we hear from the writer to the Romans and what we hear Jesus sharing with His followers is that the list may be long -- in fact longer than we can see the end of -- but our focus must not be on the list.  Our focus as followers on a common journey of faith is to extend hospitality, compassion and grace to all we encounter.  The "CALCULATIONS OF HOSPITALITY" are more than we can think or imagine.  Let's see if we can figure it out on Sunday!  See you at 10:00 a.m. on YouTube!
