God of the Outsider
Last week was fun!! Making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches always brings back memories of all kinds. It served as a reminder to us that there is no one perfect way to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and that for just as many ways as there are to make a PB&J, there are that many kinds of people in the world.
This week is pretty much a part 2 of last week. While there are all kinds of people in the world, the same God that loves and cares for each of us, loves and cares for each of "them". The persons that we mislabel as "outsiders" are the very ones that God loves and the ones that God expects us to love!! Because if we are honest, we also used to be "outsiders". THE GOD OF THE OUTSIDER reminds us daily that our task is to make sure that there are fewer and fewer persons who feel like "outsiders" and more who know and experience the love of the God who loves us all. Join us on Sunday at 9 or 10:30 a.m. as we talk about it a little more. ALL are welcome!
