Sometimes finding participants who are willing to go the "extra mile" for a worthy cause can be a challenge.  Even finding persons to go the first mile sometimes can be a challenge!!  So, this week, as we continue through the season of Epiphany, we see Jesus recruiting a few more to help with the task of making a difference in their world. 

How would you respond to the invitation to leave your life's work to go on a journey that you had no details about?  A "new" adventure into unknown territory?  There would probably be some hesitation and plenty of questions.  But Simon, Andrew, James and John seemed to not care to ask questions or to hesitate!!  What's wrong with these guys?  Good question. 

Let's see what happens when we are given the invitation to "LET'S GO FISHING" not at the edge of the shore but for people!!!!  Sounds overwhelming to many of us.  I'm sure that we can see a different perspective when we look at the invitation from another perspective.    Join me on Sunday morning at 10:00AM on our Woodridge UMC channel on YouTube and see what we might come up with..
