Road Trip Rules

Every time I have taken a "road trip" I have tried to calculate for every possible scenario...what will I eat and when, what should I wear driving and when I arrive at my destination, what's the weather going to be, how often will I need to stop for gas, and of course that all elusive "what if....."  This is what I would consider the "ROAD TRIP RULES".  After all, I was a Girl Scout and our motto "Be Prepared" tends to permeate my entire being!!!

I have said many times that being a Christian is also a journey.  But this journey is different that any other journey we may embark upon and has some different rules.  Some of those rules are clear and easy to follow while the majority of them are at the very least convoluted, unexpected, difficult and never easy to follow.   So we find ourselves very often like the people of Israel being lead by Moses.  We feel unprepared for such a journey and certainly not always fully confident in the leader!!

But, as shared in our Exodus passage for this week (as well as the Matthew passage) there are different "ROAD TRIP RULES" that we need to keep in mind that may be different that the ones we would use going to Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, Missouri or wherever we may be headed.  Join me on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. on YouTube to talk about those rules and how we might follow them better.  See you there!
