Stewardship Sermon 2 - Faithfulness

Last Sunday, we began our stewardship sermons series with the theme of “Lordship.” Recognizing who truly owns our lives is the starting point of stewardship. In the story of the rich young man, he left Jesus saddened when Jesus asked him to sell all he had, give to the poor, and follow Jesus. This wasn’t just a question of money – it was about lordship. Jesus was asking, both the young man and each of us, “Who is the Lord of your life? Is it Jesus? Money? Something else?” True stewardship begins with our confession that God is the owner of our lives.

This Sunday, we will continue with our second sermon in the series, focused on “Faithfulness.” In our weekly Bible study, we’ve been studying 1 Corinthians, where the Apostle Paul reminds the church in Corinth that we are “servants of Christ and stewards of God.” God, who owns everything, entrusts us to care for what is God’s. As God’s stewards, we are called to be faithful.  But what does faithfulness truly mean? Have we been faithful to God in our roles as God’s stewards? We invite you to join us this Sunday for worship as we explore these questions together and seek to grow in our commitment to God.
