We know how powerful our tongues can be!!  We learned that as children as we recited...."sticks and stones may break my bones....."  and then looked around at the myriad of hurt feelings, destroyed reputations and irreparable damage done to relationships.  Words really CAN hurt, even kill.  

The message in James is one that connects to the message found in Mark's account of the Gospel story.  When Jesus raises the question about his identity it is not because He left His driver's license at home!!!  It is a question that has been raised for generations.....how is our identity as believers in God reflected in the life we live?  Do our words and our actions reflect who we really are ......representatives of God in the world?  Do they match up?  Jesus is asking for a TRUE CONFESSION ....do your words and actions reflect what you believe about the Messiah?  Let's see what we come up with on Sunday!  Join us for worship at 10:00 a.m. in person or on YouTube.  All are welcome.
