Water for a Thirsty World
As we move further into the season of Lent, we see more and more examples of Jesus attempting to share the message of God with those He encounters. These examples serve as reminders to us of the purpose of the season of Lent ... to hear again the message of God's love and the work we need to do. How do we move closer to God? How do we become more intentional about our walk with God? How do we better learn the stories of what God wants of us? This is a season of "examples".
We also see examples in the world around us. A world that suffers from a lack of hope and possibility. People thirsty for the waters of hope in the midst of their crisis. A world that suffers from exclusivity and individualism. People thirsty for belonging and purpose. A world at war in so many places and in so many ways. People thirsty for peace and compromise. And how does this thirst get quenched?
Our task (as believers) is to look at the examples of Jesus and be the water-bearers for those who thirst. The radical and inclusive hope and love shown to others in ways they never forget. We are the ones to provide "WATER TO A THIRSTY WORLD". Let's take a look at some of the ways that we are modern day water-bearers together. Join us on Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. in person or on YouTube.
