Jesus' words....."don't be troubled or afraid..." should ring in our hearts but often don't.  How do we learn to hear them afresh and with welcome hearts?

Our task is to stand up for the least, the last and the left out.  To help their voices to be heard over and above all of the competing voices.

Power and responsibility, freedom and liberty, documents and their interpretation, time-honored ideas and new-fangled disputes — all represent contemporary conflicts that simultaneously take us way back in time. 

Let's see how we can re-focus our perspectives on how we live and how we treat one another. 

What does it take, where do we go? Does it really matter to us and what do we need to do to authentically celebrate.

What is the deal with The Trinity? How did we arrive at this idea for God? And, really, why should we care about The Trinity?

Pentecost and Confirmation together? That makes for a Sunday in which we embody hope.

This week let us, together, be honest about our sadness and our anger. Let us also, together, seek the hope we know exists in the love of God as expressed in Jesus and do all we can to incarnate that hope. 

In the midst of all of the controversy about "dividing and separating" we have somehow forgotten our foundation.

What does it mean to us as believers to hear that our God has "moved into the neighborhood"?  What kind of welcoming committee will be there for that initial greeting?
